School admissions
Parents should register children for education at their local catchment area school (primary or secondary).
Details of arrangements are printed in the local press (Kilmarnock Standard/Cumnock Chronicle) in December and January.
Children who will attain the age of five years between 1 March and 28 February of the following year should register for education. An advert will appear in December giving the registration date.
Parents should take their children to the appropriate local primary school during the registration week and should check the day(s)/time(s) of enrolment with the school concerned.
Birth certificates must be produced on day of enrolment.
