Opening of Knockentiber football pavilion

Knockentiber’s new state of the art football pavilion was opened in style with a football tournament involving young people from Crosshouse Primary. It was then over to Councillor Douglas Reid, Leader of the Council to perform the official opening.
The new football pavilion is a startling improvement to the original playbarn which was demolished to make way for the new facility, providing football teams with modern, robust changing facilities and a social area.
Councillor Reid said: “I was delighted to officially open Knockentiber’s new football pavilion. This new facility provides a very high standard of changing accommodation for local football teams and the small meeting room can be used for a range of different activities, including a polling station for elections.
“Knockentiber Amateurs is one of the area’s most successful football teams, and thanks to the Council’s investment now have facilities to match their ambitions. I wish them every success in this and future seasons.”
