Information for IE9 users

Our online payments provider, Civica Plc, have just discovered an issue that is preventing Internet Explorer 9 users from being able to make payments.

They are currently working on this problem and we expect them to have a resolution soon. You can alternatively use our Automated Telephone service on 01563 574057.  Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

East Ayrshire Council now offers a convenient and secure way to pay for a number of Council Services ONLINE using a debit or credit card.

These services include:

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Business Rates, also known as Non-Domestic Rates
  • Community Charge
  • Council Tax
  • Rents and Home Contents Insurance

The online payment service provides for payment by Debit or Credit card including VISA, VISA ELECTRON, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO/SWITCH AND DELTA.

PLEASE NOTE: Payments made by credit card will be subject to an additional charge which equates to the card transaction charge currently levied on the Council by operating banks.

Details of this charge will be displayed before you confirm acceptance of your payment and there is an option to cancel the transaction should you wish.

This transaction charge applies to credit card payments only, not debit card payments.

For all payments please make sure that you have details of your reference number available to allow your payment to be processed.

If your payment has been successfully processed a confirmation screen will be displayed with details of your payment, including your receipt number. This receipt number is a 12 digit reference where the first four digits will be ZZWP. If you do not see your receipt number then your payment has not been successful. If you are in any doubt please telephone 01563 576499. This number is available from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

What is CivicaIcon?

CivicaIcon is the software used to provide East Ayrshire Council Online Payment Service, a web based facility. This service offers customers a secure environment to make online payments. Data stored and transmitted to the Council is completely secure and confidential and your details will not be used for any other purpose. For details of the Security Protocol used click on the 'Secured By Thawte' symbol at the bottom of the payment pages. Payment requests using CivicaIcon are subject to authorisation and normal debit/credit card clearance cycles apply.
