We publicise all our tender notices on Public Contracts Scotland - a website portal used by all public sector agencies in Scotland to advertise business opportunities. The portal is used for both large and lower value contracts (usually in excess of £30,000).

We also use the portal to obtain Quick Quotes for requirements with a value of between £500 and £30,000.00.  We urge all companies who seek business opportunities with the council to register on the portal as soon as possible.

Registration is free and you can choose from a list of commodity categories of general interest to your own business. The  system generates an email alert when relevant notices are placed on the portal.

You can view live tender notices, download electronic PQQs and tender documents and formally express interest online.

The portal also includes Award Notices which make it easy to identify successful tenderers and seek potential sub-contracting opportunities.

Where the contract value is expected to exceed the EU Procurement threshold, a notice is also placed in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU); formally known as Official Journal of the European Communities (OJEC).

In addition to these notices and depending upon the nature of the procurement, additional notices may be placed in Thursday's edition of The Herald (Business to Business section) and local Ayrshire press.
