A selection of bright, traditional paintings are on show in Kilmarnock.
Encouraged to draw and paint from an early age by her artistic family, Margaret Currie is a self - taught artist who lives in Darvel.
During her work at Nursery Schools, she enjoyed giving the same encouragement to the children, providing them with the best atmosphere and opportunity to be creative. Now retired, Margaret has the leisure to paint whenever she likes, thanks to Walter, her long-suffering husband!
A member of Kilmarnock Art Club, she says that she has learned so much from fellow members, demonstrations and trips to galleries.
Her first solo exhibition at the Wellington Gallery, Wellington Street, Kilmarnock, is now taking place until the end of June.
