Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency

Alan Brown was re-elected as MP of Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency on Friday 13 December with a majority of 12,659 votes.

Votes cast were as follows:

  • Alan Brown, Scottish National Party (SNP) - 24,216
  • Caroline Hollins, Scottish Conservative & Unionist - 11,557
  • Stef Johnstone, Scottish Libertarian Party - 405
  • Kevin McGregor, Scottish Labour Party - 9,009
  • Edward John Thornley, Scottish Liberal Democrats - 2,444

Total votes cast 47,769

Total electorate was 74,517.

Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock Constituency

Allan Hopkins Dorans was elected as MP of Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock Constituency on Friday 13 December with a majority of 2329 votes.

Votes cast were as follows:

  • Helena Ivy Bongard, Scottish Liberal Democrats - 2,158
  • Allan Hopkins Dorans, Scottish National Party - 20,272
  • Martin Dowey, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party - 17,943
  • Duncan Christopher Townson, Scottish Labour Party - 6,219

Total votes cast 46,730

Total electorate was 71,970

Election 2017

A UK Parliamentary General Election was held on Thursday 8 June 2017.

Alan Brown was re-elected as MP of Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency on Friday 9 June 2017 with a majority of 6,269 votes.

Votes cast were as follows:

  • Alan Brown, Scottish National Party (SNP) - 19,690
  • Laura Dover, Scottish Labour Party - 13,421
  • Alison Harper, Scottish Conservative & Unionist - 12,404
  • Irene Lang, Scottish Liberal Democrats - 994

Total votes cast 46,590.

Total electorate was 73,327

Election 2015

A UK Parliamentary General Election was held on Thursday 7 May 2015.

Alan Brown was announced as MP of Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency on Friday 8 May with a majority of 13,638 votes.

Votes cast were as follows:

  • Rodney Ackland, Scottish Liberal Democrats - 789
  • Alan Brown, Scottish National Party - 30,000
  • Cathy Jamieson, Scottish Labour Party - 16,362
  • Brian Whittle, Scottish Conservative and Unionist - 6,752

Total votes cast 53,995
