Internal Audit
Internal Audit is an independent appraisal function established within the authority to examine and evaluate the activities of the Council. Internal Audit is a resource that is available to all departments to provide assurances that systems are operating properly and that procedures are being followed correctly.
For the Internal Audit function to be effective, it is essential that there are good working relationships between departments and Internal Audit, so that the expertise and knowledge of each are utilised to their fullest potential.
