Volunteering in sport and leisure


Leisure Volunteer

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our team and help us improve the health and wellbeing of people in East Ayrshire. 

We require volunteers to join our register to work in various roles.

Volunteering with children and young people

  • early years play sessions (under 5s)
  • children's activity clubs (5 - 12)
  • sport and activity clubs for children and young people with additional support needs (5 - 18)
  • drama club (5 - 18)
  • MEND (sessions for children 2 - 13 above their ideal weight)
  • sports coaching (5 - 16)
  • StreetSport - Cages, Express and Mobile skatepark (10 - 18)
  • night leagues (football) (10 - 18)
  • 1 - 1 support for children with additional support needs
  • Fun4Hire - play equipment hire service

Volunteering with adults

  • disability sports clubs
  • CHIP Van - health checks
  • walk leaders
  • 1 - 1 support for adults with extra support needs

Volunteering in administration

Volunteers can help with photocopying, mailings, producing word documents, updating databases and spreadsheets.

We provide free training and uniform. Volunteering could help you into employment or higher education by developing skills, building confidence and allowing you to gain valuable experience.

Successful applicants may require to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check.
