Ayrshire Educational Trust


The Ayrshire Educational Trust is administered by East Ayrshire Council on behalf of the three unitary authorities in Ayrshire.  The trust can offer financial assistance to groups and individuals who live in the former County of Ayr.

Applicants must live in Ayrshire and may apply for assistance for a variety of purposes. 

The trust cannot support full-time or part-time courses leading to second qualifications, or provide assistance towards uniforms or instruments.  

Section 36

Travel grants for individuals to enable them to travel either in Great Britain or abroad for any purpose of an educational nature.

Section 38

Special equipment to improve the efficiency of education for school pupils with special educational needs.

Section 41

Support to clubs - to assist in the formation, maintenance and encouragement of societies and organisations for the educational benefit of children and young people in Ayrshire.

Section 43

School excursions - to defray the expenses of organised school excursions.

Section 45

Holiday travel - for pupils in primary or secondary schools or continuation classes, to enable them to become members of parties organised by North, South or East Ayrshire Councils.
