Advertisement control areas

An advertisement control area is where a local authority has removed deemed consent for advertisements within an area. Schedule 4 of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (Scotland) Regulations 1984 lists the specified classes of advertisements with deemed consent.

The John Finnie Street/Bank Street ‘Outstanding’ Conservation Area is currently the only area within East Ayrshire which has removed deemed consent for advertisements.
